ANOTHER WEIRD DAY AT WORK

It was a Friday and I was on my way back to the office with my boss from court. We have already reached the office and my boss was trying to find a parking space when suddenly he started singing. The song sounded familiar though at that moment I could not really recall what song it was. So, I joined him and we sang together for awhile. A really short while though as both of us could not remember a few lines of the song but we could still hum to the tunes, so we stopped singing and continued humming. The song goes something like this:-

Round and round the chimneys they fly
Higher and higher they climb in the sky
Over the rooftops and chimneys and mills
Over the rivers and railways and hills
But they always come home eventually
Always come home eventually
No matter how many miles they have flown
They will always come home

When we stopped singing and humming, finally I remembered what song it was so I asked him, with an amused look plastered on my face.

Me: That’s a Smurf song kan?
Boss: Yeah. Eh, how come you know?
Me: Of course I know it. I love that song. I have the tape.
Boss: You do?? I love that tape. The songs are nice. There’s this other song I like in it. A lullaby or something…
Me: I know, I know. It goes something like ‘Go to sleep now close your eyes…’(singing)
Boss & Me: ‘Try to think of tomorrow, All your friends, All your toys will be waiting for you to play….'
Me: Hehehe
Boss: Eh, you still have that tape ah?
Me: I think so but I can’t remember where I put it lah.
Boss: Try la to find because I want to pinjam la to give my daughter to listen. She likes the songs you see but I don’t have the tape. Pity her…
Me: Then how does she know the song?
Boss: From my singing la. I always sing to her the song.
Me: Okay. I will try to find it.

Hehehe… another weird day at work and there’s more where that came from.
