A WEIRD DAY AT THE OFFICE

Less than an hour before this is written, I actually had a NURSERY RHYME showdown with my BOSS! Can't exactly remember how it started (talk about a serious case of spacing out) but he said something about where there will come a day when I need to know all the nursery rhymes. To which I reply that I do know all the nursery rhymes, which leads to the following conversation (in summary):-

Boss: Oh really?? (while giving a mischievous look and smile)
Me : Yup!
Boss: Okay, what about Little Miss Muffet?
Me : Sat on a tuffet.
Boss: Alright, let see if you know this one. Hickory, Dickory Dock?
Me : The mouse ran up the clock.
Boss: This is a tough one. Sixpence Song (btw it is actually
called Sing a Song of Sixpence)
Me : (desperately searching my memory for it cuz it sounds very
familiar) I know that but I can't remember how it goes...
Boss: Hahahaha... (with a happy look on his face)

So there you have it, my weird day at the office! Anyway, this is how the SING A SONG OF SIXPENCE GOES:-

Sing a song of sixpence, A pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds, Baked in a pie.

When the pie was opened, The birds began to sing,
Now wasn't that a dainty dish, To set before the King?

The King was in his counting house, Counting out his money,
The Queen was in the parlour, Eating bread and honey.

The maid was in the garden, Hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blackbird, And pecked off her nose.

Versi Bahasa Melayu:-

Lagu tiga kupang, saku penuh padi,
6 ekor burung, masuk dalam kuali.

Bila sudah masak, burung nyanyi saja,
Tentu sedap makan, beri pada raja.

Raja dalam rumah, buat kira-kira,
Suri dalam dapur, makan roti gula.

Dayang tepi kolam, mahu jemur tepung,
Datang burung hitam, patuk batang hidung.

Huhuhuhu... :)
