today i went to collect my graduation robe. it was the first day for us to go and collect it so i decided to go as early as possible so i would get the right size. it started at 9 and i got there around 9.15. early? i dont think so. by that time, the line was already a mile long. what i thought was the line to collect the robe turns out to be a line to collect the robe collection slip. which they had run out of by that time. so we had to do some waiting. make that a lot of waiting. the moment we got the necessary form or slip or whatever, we excitedly walked over to the next line which we thought is the line to collect the robe. unfortunately, its not. its merely a line for us to submit our forms and whatever needs to be submitted. more waiting. then, we move on to the next line which we prayed so hard to be THE line for robe collecting. thank god it is. but by now, we know better than to expect the line to move swiftly and expediently. which of course it doesnt. the first time that our expectations are met. anyway, after more waiting (whatelse is new), i manage to get my robe. much to my annoyance, it wasnt the right size. it was far too big for me and i looked like a big flappy bird trying to spread its wings and fly. when we thought the ordeal is finally over, we found out that there is yet another line and more waiting to be done. well, shame on us i suppose cuz by now, we should've known that they are not gonna let us go that easily. one last time to make our life miserable. whatever it is, i hope its gonna be worth it the moment we have our scrolls in our hands. and really do hope i can change my robe for a smaller size tomorrow.
