DisasteR...

wow, what a way to end the year. this'll make a great anecdote, that is once the commotion and the sadness has passed. but i'm quite sure it never will, especially to those affected. in case u r wondering what the heck i'm talking about, i'm refering to the recent earthquake n tsunami that has hit OUR shores early sunday morning, 26 december 2004. i bet that most of us never thought that malaysia is ever threatened by a 'gempa bumi' much less a tidal waves. well at least i didn't cuz as far as i can remember learning geography in school was that it was said that malaysia is a safe place as it is situated in the safe confines of the 'lingkaran api pasifik' or sumthing like that. and that we wud never experience sumthing like this, but hey, looks like thats not true. plus, it is said that this is the deadliest or the most powerful earthquake that has ever hit in around 40 years (or so i read, lbey kurang la. klu silap, im sorry). anything is possible, kalau Allah kate jadi, jadi lah ia.. betul tak? anyway, no matter how 'fascinating' this all is, there are lives that are lost and hurt (the current count is high n still counting) in malaysia as well as in sumatera, sri lanka, thailand, myanmar, india and etc. we cant just ignore this fact and should help in anyway that we can. let us pray for them... just think, it could be us or our loved ones...
